Experience International Day at the Markets Sunday Feb 14

A celebration of our multicultural community in Canberra with delicious multicultural foods, stalls with exquisite handcrafted products, and local music and dance groups performing traditional dances from their country of origin.

Savour wonderful dishes such as empanadas from Spain, chicken stir frys from Laos, samosas and Key Wat from Ethiopia, croque monsieur from France and real burritos from Mexico.

Take home food includes Turkish burek, Thai curry and stir fry pastes, French nougat, and real Indian chutneys.

Handcrafted treasures from around the world will feature bright lanterns and silk handbags from Vietnam; mysterious blackwood statues from Africa; hand felted Nepalese slippers and brooches; Persian handknotted rugs; Umbrian ceramics; French provincial textiles;  Balinese homewares and more.

The performance program starts with the Prosporous Mountain Lion Dancers in the morning and moves to Kokoloco; Belly Up Belly dancers; Tango Tango, Argentinian tango, and Drum Effect in the outside courtyard.
