Green Savvy Sunday – 9 October 2011

The Old Bus Depot Markets will host its environmentally focused theme day, Green Savvy Sunday on 9th October 2011.
Now in its second year, Green Savvy Sunday will be even bigger and better in 2011 with participants showcasing ways we can all get a little greener including recycling, upcycling and products made using low energy or organic techniques.
Green Savvy Sunday stalls will feature green products and displays to inspire and entice. Experts will give advice on green products and services, and Government departments will also be on hand to assist with advice on programs they are running to help improve our carbon footprint.
The markets will feature an additional 30 stalls on Green Savvy Sunday including businesses such as ACT No Waste and ActewAGL, stallholders selling:
- Environmentally friendly cleaning systems
- Sculptures, homewares and clothes made from recycled materials
- Children’s books with a sustainable/green message
- Water wise gardening solutions and plants,
- Mats made with recycled plastic
- Homewares from old LPs
- Canberra sustainable house
- See-change
- Recycled clocks and artwork from road signs
- Organic hand printed tee shirts
- Enjo cleaning products
- Green house emporium
- Armada solar
- Chemical free soaps and skincare
- Soy candles (petroleum free), and much more
Green Savvy Speakers
For those keen on learning more about greening your life, the markets will feature an all day speakers program called Green Savvy Speakers.
