And now that you’re salivating we can tell you there’s even more on offer from the sweet specialists, Fancy That Confectionery. These market stalwarts have been with us since they began 15 years ago.

Shirley Falconer started out making chocolates for her son’s wedding and, being a teacher at the time, also regularly made treats for staff wanting to buy them. She then launched the business with a commercial kitchen at home in Macgregor employing five people to keep up with the demand for her tasty fudge, rocky road and drinking chocolates. Nowadays it’s a husband and wife affair with herself and husband Paul creating the ever popular range using distinctive and original recipes. There’s 12 standard varieties of fudge, as well as specialist flavours like chilli, Black Forest and ginger macadamia, and at Christmas time the fudge Christmas puddings in flavours such as caramel and cointreau are popular.
